With the ACSI discount campsite
guide, written completely in English you save up to
50% on campsite prices. Stay at campsites for €11,
€13 or €15 per night. Price includes motorhome
or car and caravan, electric hook up and two adults
electricity, showers and dogs. With 1601 campsites in
the 2009 ACSI Camping Card scheme dispersed across to
choose from it is by far the biggest discount scheme.

we are taking pre-orders in November, we will also offer

There
is no up front commitment and no Camping Cheques to purchase,
simply present the card at reception of participating
campsites to gain your discount. Discounts are available
most of the year, except July and August. Small charges can be made by the campsite to cover tourist or environment taxes and waste disposal.

The only thing you need to do is write
your name and address on the back of the ACSI camping card, that
presses out from the cover, (see bottom right of picture).
You can of course use the campsites all year and at
only £10.50 you only need to use it 1-2 nights
to start saving.
A clever alphabetical key allows you to
choose exactly the campsite you need; C means they accept
dogs (which many do), E by a river, F by a lake, and
G close to sea. I with public transports.

Italy (175) only 3 in Great Britain.
Reported confusion, ACSI inspects over
9000 campsites every year and many display the ACSI
logo, but it is only the 1601 in this year’s guide
that offer a discount. ACSI also produce a DVD campsite
guide that lists 8600 campsites including the ones in
the discount scheme but does not need to be bought to
support this guide.
Who should buy the guide
Ideal for anyone travelling in Europe this year. Whether
you exclusively use campsites or just occasionally like
to pit stop the ACSI Camping Card scheme will save everyone money and
enable you to enjoy your holiday to the full. Anyone
travelling to Italy should have this guide.

ACSI Campsite
Guide DVD 2009
This excellent campsite guide can be used
with your laptop, but must be run on a computer. Covering
8600 campsites in 29 countries, each entry is full of
detailed information about the site, often with pictures.

There are 6 Campsites listed in Andorra,
312 Austria, 482 Belgium, 505 Britain, 122 Croatia,
121 Czech Republic, 346 Denmark, 37 Estonia, 130 Finland,
France 2329, 1065 Germany, 179 Greece, 136 Hungry, 68
Ireland (southern), 787 Italy, 17 Latvia, 8 Lithuania,
53 Luxembourg, 731 Netherlands, 311 Norway, 109 Poland,
103 Portugal, 21 Romania, 24 Slovakia, 27 Slovenia,
429 Spain, 243 Sweden, 235 Switzerland, and 39 campsites
in Turkey.
France for example has 2329 campsites
listed in 23 regions, it is possible to go fishing at
1564 sites, 766 have heated outdoor swimming pool, 266
have rivers suitable for swimming. 393 have access to
white water rafting. Information is instantly found
by selecting one of the 10 categories, water recreation,
has 26 sub categories some of which are listed above.
Extremely detailed information is provided
about the ablutions, for example only 785 French campsites
provide toilet paper, 2069 have individual wash cubicles
with hot water, and 498 have heated toilet blocks. Other
French campsite gems are 199 sites have WIFI access,
722 have motorhome sanitary points, 1097 are suitable
for the disabled, surprisingly only 369 sites have a
water point within 50 meters of every pitch, allegedly
1291 receptions have English speakers during the day.
The ACSI DVD allows far more information to
be contained than in book format, and you can search
and sort campsites based on your own preferences, For
example of the 2329 campsites in France 185 are open
all year, 74 of these have un shaded pitches, 43 of
these have heated sanitary facilities, 37 of these have
lit roads and paths, 36 of these allow a dog on a lead.

Route description: Route planner
N165/E60 Vannes-Lorient, exit Aerodrome Vannes-Meucon.
Follow the signs to the airport. Just before the control
tower turn left and follow the signs to the paraschool,
then turn left. The camp site is left after 300 metres.
There is route planner software (like
autoroute) included; it is this programming that forms
the structure of the guide. When you select a country
maps come up with little red tents representing the
campsites. Now you can plan your route between campsites
including your own points of interest.
Reservations could not be simpler, you
can produce a letters in the relevant language by filling
in a simple tick box form, you may then email these
to the address provided.
Disabled information is provided in the
following way;
“In order to be classified as a disabled campsite,
it must meet a minimum number of conditions such as
a disabled toilet and shower. The standards have been
set in consultation with the council for the disabled.”
