The Motorcaravan Manual (2nd Edition)
Author John Wickersham

John is probably the most prolific writer of caravan and motorcaravan books in the industry. Not only has he a suite of haynes publications he also writes technical articals for most of the magazines.

This book is basically essential for all new motorcaravanners and is recomended in Go Motorhoming Europe. Indeed it is so well writen that the authors decided not to cover the technical information but refer the reader to it.
For anyone going fulltiming it is essential, for example it fully explains how to service a fridge, not that you should but it may help in a breakdown situation when abroad.

Great Sea View Camping and Caravan Sites in Britain
Author Brian M Leahy

This guide was written primarily because the author likes the seaside and had got fed up with being lead astray by wonderful pictures in caravan site advertisements, then taking days out of the holiday to find a site with a sea view. So he traveled round the British coast looking for such sites. Having found close to four hundred he thought it a good idea to write a guide on them. This guide was revised in the summer of 2005. This second book was created as a guide to the top 150 sites that the author would call "Great Sites" and includes full colour photos of the view at each site.

This is a hefty guide weighing 1.4kg strangely new postal charges make viable to post first class, this is why this guide is well over its RRP.

Caravan Clob Europe 1 - 2 £15.99

Caravan Club Europe 1 and 2 are the most comprehensive campsite guides available. Caravan 1 lists more sites in France Spain, Portugal and Andorra than any other campsite guide written in English we know of. There are over 125 in Portugal alone and we believe this to be just about all of them. Readers nominate and provide the details of the campsites including costs, opening times, facilities, hook up amperage, size of site, dogs welcome, shade, levels, local attractions, ambiance, etc and excellent directions.
The touring information in the front of the guide is second to none and should not be overlooked. It covers all the necessary subjects of road law but also a lot of other useful and need to know information about, pets, ferries, insurance, money, tolls, mountain pass suitability and country specific information. Maps at the back of the books show the locations of campsites against the local town and are colour coded red for those open all year.
In short this is the best campsite guide of its kind, we used them extensively when we were full timing and despite the big price rise to £15.99 are worth every penny.
